atmosphere of your hotel makes my mind change of what school
looked like - a boring place. I am now starting to like going to

This is the best B&B
in Cripple Creek. It is located one block off of the main road so
it is very convenient to walk to the casinos and shops. The rooms
are all beautifully decorated. It's nice that the doors are open
on the unoccupied rooms so you can take a look at them. All of
them seem very nice. I would love to stay in any (or all) of them!
The history behind the B&B is fascinating (it use to be the school
house for the area). You definitely get a feel for what it might
have been like back them. The way the rooms are situated it's very
easy to come and go and not feel like you are waking everyone up
if you come in late. The breakfasts are par for the course, very
good. Parking is good, lot of off street parking, and also a
parking lot beside the building. This is a great place to stay
when in Cripple Creek especially if you want something different
than the traditional casino hotel room. Overall, we think this is
one of the best B&B's in Colorado.

My husband and I
stayed at the Carr Manor for 4 wonderful days. Our room was
lovely, clean, comfortable, memorable, romantic, relaxing...all we
could ask for. The hosts were outstanding. The breakfast each
morning was a special treat, always delicious and leisurely The
snacks, water, coffee, and homemade cookies were enjoyed daily. We
loved the location as we could easily walk to the casinos and
restaurants. We hope to return next year as we had such a
delightful experience.

This bed and breakfast
was a joy to see and enjoy. Very unique and loved everything about
it. Would absolutely stay again. The host and hostess made us feel
a part of as soon as we walked in.

I can't say enough
good things about this B&B. The host and hostess were very
friendly and welcoming. The room was cozy, comfortable and
immaculate - even the horizontal blinds were completely free of
dust! The rest of the place was beautiful, too. There's a cozy
common area where you can watch TV. The host gave us a tour in the
moring after breakfast. Breakfast was awesome!!!! Homemade quiche,
strawberries in chocolate sauce, yogurt and bread/muffins. It was
delicious.

Over the Labor Day Weekend I went on a motorcycle trip to
Colorado. I rode into town and had to find a place to stay. The
first places I checked were booked. I then checked here and they
had a room. I really lucked out! This place is wonderful the
owners are accommodating and breakfast was great. My room was
spacious and comfortable. If every I am in town again I'll stay
there again.

This renovated Cripple
Creek High School is both historic and modern. We were very
impressed by the rooms (we walked through many of them) which are
all different and beautifully appointed. Our hostess was very
friendly and helpful and provided a marvelous breakfast. During
all hours we had access to coffee, cookies and soft drinks - all
complimentary. We would go back to Cripple Creek again just to
stay at the Carr Manor - and plan to do so with my sister who
lives in Denver!

Carr Manor is an absolute delight and I highly recommend it if you
find yourself in the Cripple Creek area. The renovated rooms are
lovely and retain some features, like chalkboards, of the old
school. The hosts are friendly, welcoming and obviously love what
they do. The attention to detail is very evident everywhere.
Breakfast was superb. The B&B is in walking distance to all
Cripple Creek has to offer. Our room was spotlessly clean with an
extremely comfortable bed. Carr Manor has a large sitting area for
guests and keeps a stock of soft drinks, bottled water and
homemade cookies & snacks. This really is a lovely place to spend
a night or a weekend.

Carr Manor is a
beautifully restored historic schoolhouse. The rooms are elegant
and, a nice touch, they have left the school blackboards in the
rooms for guests to leave comments. I would recommend for a
romantic getaway. The lounges and sitting rooms are comfortable,
the hosts are accommodating, and the breakfast and snacks are
good. The Manor itself is quiet but noise from the street does
seep in through the old walls. If you are a light sleeper, request
a room away from the street or bring earplugs.
